Artist Call Out: Developers' Dinner

MAIA are looking for 3x socially-engaged artists from any discipline to take part in a dinner and discussion in Birmingham on 6th November.

“Of the City: Developers’ Dinner” brings together invited artists, creative professionals, planners, developers, architects and others invested in regeneration and the built environment, to discuss what it means to be a ‘developer’. We are particularly interested in the role of art(ists) and culture as a fundamental part of placemaking/place-shaping.

Bursary places (up to £50) are covered by Axisweb and Arts Council England, to support artists with access costs. Interested in joining us? For one of the bursaries, please send a single-sided document or a 2-minute video to Amahra (as@maiagroup.co) detailing the following:

·      As an artist, what are you interested in?

·      What would you hope to get from the event?

·      Any links to a portfolio or previous work? If not, can you give a sense of things you’d like to explore in relation to your practice?

·      How would you use the bursary?
